A case, who was admitted to Han-Il Hospital, of single gastric polyp measuring 1.OX1.5cm. is reported with the literature review.
Gastric polyp in the benign tumor of the stomach was first reported by Amatus Lusitanus in 1557. Morgagni reported his female patient aged 51, who had gastric polyp in 1769 and in 1835, Cruveilhier the gastric polyp and its malignant change.
Although the gastric polyp has been found in only about 0.25% of all autopsy cases since Morgagni´s relatively detailed description in 1888, its rate to mali-gnant transference is high, particularly in multiple gastric polyps.
